Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 – Broken Things NSP which takes place in the infamous Playtime Co. factory, now a nightmarish wasteland dubbed The Prototype’s Stomping Grounds, adds depth to the series’ lore, throwing the player into a new, previously unseen area of the factory. Sealed off for its horrid experiments and blasphemous rituals, this area is now under the control of the factory’s rogue AI and the twisted inhabitants. The setting is a cramped labyrinth of worn down equipment, flashing light and secret hiding spots.

In the heart of the company’s dark secrets. In this chapter the factory is not just alive, it is supernatural. Walls breathe. Shadows move. Maliciousness is in the air. Such limited areas is where the Switch’s handheld gameplay excels, delivering the closest-to-real terror experience that can only be matched through handheld gaming. The game’s art style is heavily into the grotesque industrial surrealism, inspired by the ’80s horror style and contemporary environments.
