Description:

Star Wars Episode I Racer is a racing game developed and published in 1999 by LucasArts. This is a replica of the sequence of podracing from the Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace film. The game features all of the racers and race courses on Tatooine from The Phantom Menace. In addition, it offers several new courses, all set on Tatooine and on different planets. There are various modes of playing the game, including a tournament mode. Multiplayer mode is available, a nd the format differs depending on the platforms. The game sees the return of Anakin Skywalker and Sebulba, played by computer-generated characters, but with the voices provided by actors Jake Lloyd and Lewis MacLeod, respectively, from The Phantom Menace.

Drive as Anakin Skywalker or one of more than 21 Podracers and experience the potent punch of two mighty jet engines in simulated speeds of up to 600 mph. Rein in a turbine-driven chariot through 8 spectacular worlds.

• Roster and Worlds: Play 25 different characters, such as Anakin Skywalker and Sebulb, in 8 different worlds, including Tatooine, Baroon, and Malastare.
• Upgrades & Pit Droids: Collect credits in the Tournament mode to upgrade the parts and use pit droids to enhance top speed and acceleration.
• Speed Mechanics: Use charge and after burners for double the max speed, but be sure not to overuse burners or your engines will melt.
• Damage & Repair System: Engines are damaged when they collide with obstacles or walls. Players may attempt to repair their pod in hand in the middle of the game, which will cause a temporary slowdown of the player’s vehicle.
• Multiplayer: Split-screen and LAN multiplayer on supported consoles.
