Description:

Rune Factory 3 Special’s dungeon-crawling and combat elements add a fun level to the overall experience and helped to make farming a more popular mainstream game. It still retains the charm of these farming games, but also makes it more interesting by adding combat. The setting is also much more of a fantasy, and it’s a fun variation on the genre.

The farming simulator is a genre that nobody had thought would take off until the 2022 Nintendo Direct featured it in September. While of course there had been games in the past that had tackled farming or had allowed for growing crops to be a mechanic, such as with my childhood favorite Harvest Moon (now localized as Story of Seasons) and the incredibly popular Stardew Valley, this direct showed that developers were betting on farming.

Rune Factory 3 Special NSP Key Features:

• Newlywed Mode: If you marry one of the 11 eligible bachelorettes, you can enjoy standalone adventures and episodic stories, featuring fully voiced scenes with expressive Live2D animations.
• A new and difficult setting that will challenge even the most experienced players in battle.
• New HD Graphics, New 3D Character Models, and Animated Cuts: Modernized visuals that include upgraded HD graphics, revamped 3D character models, and newly animated cutscenes.
• The Digital Deluxe Version includes: a feature titled “Swimsuit Mode”, which lets you play the game in “Swimsuit Mode” all year round with Micah and all the marriage candidates in their swimsuits.
• Shape-Shifting Mechanic: Play as Micah, a young man who has lost his memory, but can turn into a golden sheep-like monster.
