You’ll be a punky, snotty squid-teen again, and will be told to paint the whole map in your national colors. I played a short section of the single-player campaign (which I always turn a blind eye to during a game of the series) in an hour at one of the preview events. Of course, I chose to solve a few incisive problems by the sheer force of paint as I usually do.

Splatoon 3 NSP Key features:

• Tricolor Turf War: A highly chaotic and odd Splatfest game where three teams play at once, with the top team taking the middle to defend himself/herself from the other two.
• Salmon Run: New mode, co-op and PvE with new bosses and mechanics. It enables the player to throw “Golden Eggs” to a teammate or the basket to save time and win the game.
• New swimming skills: Players can try out new swimming skills such as the Squid Roll (a quick evasive move to roll out the ink) and the Squid Surge (a fast vertical move to climb over walls).
• Advanced Weaponry: The game also features some new weapons along with the beloved favorites: Stringers (bow and arrow with delay-detonating ink) and Splatanas (sword-like melee and ranged weapons).
• New special weapons: Specials have been upgraded with new additions like the Tacticooler (a portable fridge that dispenses stat-boosting sodas), the Wave Breaker (a sonar marking device), and the Crab Tank (a pilotable mech).
