Description:

Daemon X Machina, in a nutshell as “what is going on?” now that the characters in the story have said so many times. It’s a lot to take in, and while this is a bad thing at first, the more you’re out, the more you get. So I’ll get that out of the way right away: Daemon X Machina is an experience entirely based on mechs. Daemon X Machina plunges you into a world of action without the benefit of much explanation.

You’re greeted with the universe in an opening cutscene and story dump, and there’s the moon that fell on Earth, with the impact site being called the Oval Link. You are a mercenary, called an Outer, who has been modified with a particle called Femto. Your mission is to help different consortiums fight off corrupted AI that are bringing humanity to the brink of extinction.

Daemon X Machina Key Feature:

• Modular Customization: replace Arsenal parts and weapons on the fly to create on-the-fly mechs for ranged shooting or for close brawling.
• Salvage & Craft: Scavenging was a war game where one could almost directly take parts and weapons from the enemy on the battlefield.
• Environment As A Weapon: Take advantage of the environment, gather Femto Energy to level up stats, or use objects such as cars and debris as a weapon.
• Body mods: Make your human body more powerful than the mech by applying lots of body mods that give you passive skills or other unique abilities (DNA Fusion, Mutations).
