Devil May Cry 2 NSP may have tried his utmost best to salvage the mess he was handed, but in the end, this sequel is quite rightly seen as a pretty big misstep for the series, and the intervening sixteen years haven’t made it any better. Starring a strangely mute Dante – his swagger and cockiness removed entirely and replaced by bored and sullen anger – Devil May Cry 2 is a series of bad decisions that is only made playable by the fact it retains the signature combat of the first game and, of course,e the key.

The game inherits all of the basic elements of the first game, and we get all of the basic elements of beat’em all! You advance in the level; then you are stopped by an evil door or a wall that crisscrosses an area where it will be necessary to pulverize a horde of demons as horrible as each other. Dante’s weapons include what you have used in the first game: a powerful sword that is also highly manoeuvrable, as well as your two 9mm calibers for long-range attacks. The fights are very dynamic and the maneuvers rather easy to execute.
