Diablo II: Resurrected NSP sort of lost faith in Blizzard after Warcraft 2: Reforged, that they’ll do justice to their back catalog. They’ve been so wishy-washy about even remastering Diablo 1, and it ended up becoming a sparse Diablo III event. Luckily, when it comes to preservation, Diablo II: Resurrected, Vicarious Visions brought in the big boys! Up there with Pokémon Red/Blue, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, WoW, and Final Fantasy XIV is Diablo II, one of my most played games of all time. I have flown over 8,000 hours since I first flew in each class.

I had to hurry to the store of Toys” R ”Us to purchase with my Diablo 1 TCP/IP partner (those were the days). One of these games you can simply play and play without end, and with friends. Maybe a new generation will be able to do just that with Resurrected. After Warcraft 2: Reforged, I sort of lost faith that Blizzard would do the right thing for their back catalogue, so this is a welcome change, and one I hope to see more of in the future.
