Whereas it’s quite similar to a modern 2D Metroid sequel, but it intersperses the exploration and puzzle-platforming in a way that still leaves plenty of story. The story is about an oppressive religious organization, a race for dying natural resources, and an army of individuals whodare too defy edicts being given from an autocratic figure who rules the world.

It’s a very similar style of game to most modern 2D Metroid games, but it does not rely solely on the puzzle-platforming and exploration segments, as there is quite a bit of story interwoven throughout.

Iconoclasts NSP Key Feature:

• Multipurpose Wrench: Robin is an illegal mechanic. You can not only use your massive wrench as a heavy melee weapon, but you can also use it to unscrew bolts, power up generators, zip along lines, or deflect attacks from projectiles.
• Dynamic Puzzle & Combat Synergy: Gameplay involves using the wrench and the guns (such as bombs and the stun gun). Use your wrench to electrify your bombs and solve environmental issues or shoot through barriers.
• Iconoclasts has a strong emphasis on a personal, emotionally-driven narrative, unlike many action-platformers. It takes a deep look into heavy philosophical and religious themes regarding a dystopian,cult-like government.
• The game uses a different “tweak” system instead of the standard system of equipment leveling. You’ll add in passive bonuses such as running faster or a double jump, but if you take damage, those enhancements will be broken, a nd you’ll have to keep collecting materials to repair them.
