Morbid – The Lords of Ire The Seven Acolytes was a great Dark Souls clone, with the big difference that it was a top-down shooter. It understood the tenets of exploration, experimentation, and big old nasty bosses. I didn’t get to finish it but there’s a lot I enjoyed. It was good to know I am not the only one who had gone to Xbox Tavern. When Morbid: Lords of Ire has been announced I was curious, how were they going to expand upon this formula for this game? The Striver protagonist is back again, after beating the Seven Acolytes of the first game, but I figured that it was going to try something fresh.

Morbid – The Lords of Ire NSP Key Features:

• Punishing Souls-like Combat: Master stamina-based melee and heavy/light attacks, perfect blocks, parries, ripostes, and backstabs!
• Attack & Posture System: All attacks are posture damaging. Shatter them, and deal crushing lethal Critical Strikes.
• Dynamic Sanity System: Make a choice to keep your sanities and/or go crazy. If you go insane, you will get a lot more power, and inflict a lot more damage, but also be susceptible to taking a lot more damage.
