Description:

A new game in the iconic Contra universe has arrived! New enemies and bosses, new play mechanics, a new weapons system, and explosive co-op gameplay for up to 2 players in Story Mode or up to 4 players in Arcade Mode! Modern graphics, modern sound, and new stages, new enemies and bosses, new play mechanics, updated weaponry, and muc,h much more – Contra: Operation Galuga is a complete re-imagining of the classic run-‘n’-gun action game of the ’80s!

Against everything it has to offer, Contra brings back one of its most revolutionary concepts, nearly forty years ago. But then, it doesn’t need to, as it’s still a blast for old and new fans alike. Four-player couch co-op comes as a bonus, but doesn’t detract from the retro sensibilities.

Contra: Operation Galuga NSP Key Features:

  • Story Mode: Join Bill Rizer and Lance Bean on eight different, explosive missions to take down the Red Falcon terrorist organization. Features a lot of voice acting and a retold story.
  • Arcade Mode: For the classic run-and-gun action, up to 4 players can join in.
  • Challenge Mode: Offers challenge objectives and a time challenge to test your determination.
  • Some classic weapons, such as the Spread Gun, Laser, and Homing Missile,e are also back; these weapons have stackable upgrades that boost their destructive power until they are struck.
  • Overload System: A weapon level or weapon itself can be sacrificed for the explosive, screen-clearing special attack and/or temporary buffs (such as invulnerability shields or bullet barrages).

Installation Instructions

There is no difference between NSP and XCI formats — both run exactly the same on any Nintendo Switch emulator. Your downloaded Contra: Operation Galuga file is in NSP format.
To play on an emulator, open your emulator, go to File → Load File (or drag and drop), and select the downloaded NSP file.
Ensure your emulator has at least Firmware 16.1.0 installed before launching Contra: Operation Galuga.
On a hacked Nintendo Switch, install the file using Tinfoil (highly recommended) or DBI Installer.
The direct download link may occasionally be slow or unavailable due to high traffic. If it fails, please wait a moment and try again.
