Description:

Routine is a 2025 survival horror game developed by Lunar Software and published by Raw Fury. The scenario is set on a moon base and features an unnamed character who is investigating a strange event that caused the moon base to deteriorate. A first-person perspective game, where the player must explore the base and engage in combat with other robots and interact with the environment through a special device. You now find yourself on the lunar base, facing uncertainty and danger. It’s not clear what’s happened, but it’s obvious something has gone terribly wrong.

Analogue technology can be found everywhere. Terminal screens flicker and distort imagery in a way that’s instantly recognisable to anyone who’s owned a CRT television, while the halls, corridors and facilities of the base all contain details that feel like they have some kind of purpose or function. Space Routine is a physics-based, goofy simulation of a typical day-to-day life in space.

Key features:

• Treadmills and resistance machines are required for astronauts to prevent their muscles from wasting away and bones from losing density; they must exercise for at least 2.5 hours per day (with their astronaut harnesses to keep them safely in place from floating away).
• The main reason for being in orbit is to conduct scientific research. Astronauts have extensive periods of time to carry out biological, physical and medical experiments, collect data and operate station equipment.
• Strict hygiene: Extra care should be taken during washing up. Water is scarce, so the astronauts use special “no-rinse” soaps, and the toilets also have “aspiration” systems that prevent waste from flowing into the vacuum in the microgravity environment.
• Strict Meal Planning: Meals are planned with dehydrated or pre-packaged food items that are consumed in a safe manner, ensuring that crumbs or liquid do not float around and cause damage to sensitive equipment.
• Daily Planning Conferences (DPCs): Astronauts conduct frequent morning and evening conferences with mission control teams on the ground to check off plans, troubleshoot problems, and validate plans for the day.
