The most complete Skullgirls 2nd Encore experience with 14 hand-animated characters, a fully voiced story mode, tons of palettes, and unparalleled GGPO-based multiplayer netcode. Back in April of 2012, I reviewed the then-new fighting game Skullgirls. I enjoyed it quite a bit and felt that it was a very competent fighting game with interesting and thought-out mechanics. Granted, since reviewing the game, I fell off playing it much, so I wasn’t able to experience the additions through DLC. The PS4 is now getting the latest updated version, Skullgirls: 2nd Encore, and it is the best version of the game to date.

Skullgirls 2nd Encore NSP Key Features:

• Enhanced Voice Dramatic Mode: All of the characters are provided with their own voice-acted story campaign and stunning, animated cutscenes.
• Tight Single-Player Content: Several modes to try and exercise your abilities: Survival Mode, Challenges (unusual battle circumstances), and Trials (a button-by-button combo instructional system).
• Seamless GGPO Multiplayer: Provides ranked and unranked matches with the help of GGPO network libraries, which gives a near-lagless online experience. It also has multiplayer lobbies, known as “All Play.
• Deep Roster & Tag-Team Mechanics: Select from a roster of crazy, original characters, and create teams of 1, 2, or 3 characters, and power levels and health will be dynamically adjusted.
• Custom Color Palettes: Options for a myriad of character color palettes to make the characters your own.
