Description:

Gecko Gods is very similar to an adventure game in which the player can explore and solve puzzles with the agility of a gecko, but not many games attempt to do this on the Nintendo Switch. This visually impressive game will be published on the 16th of April 2026 by Super Rare Games and will see players take on the role of a small but cunning gecko traversing a vast archipelago of ancient ruins, concealed caves and secret temples. The game is based on the principle of “discovery through curiosity,” and turns the Switch into a discovery device.

Sun-bleached islands teeming with warm, golden light are the world of Gecko Gods and they are home to endless puzzles and pieces of a long vanished civilization. The Switch’s “handheld” feature comes into its own here when you’re in “handheld” mode and can appreciate the fine detail of moss-covered stone, in the same way as you can when you’re docked, and the camera pulls back to capture the entire expanse of a vast island.

• Climb sheer cliffs walls: sprint across ceilings and hang on to surfaces to get to places where other creatures can’t.
• Open-Ended Exploration: Spend some time wandering through the ruins of a forgotten land, no dead-ends, no forced paths, no roadmap, just you and the sun’s rays, exploring sun-soaked ruins and hidden caves at your own speed.
• Sail the Seas: Glide between islands on a small wooden boat, opening up the tropical map as you glide across tranquil waters.
• Environmental Puzzles: Explore ancient temples and solve the puzzles through intuitive gameplay, leveraging the game’s distinctive vertical levels and gecko skills.
• Curious Game: The entire game is based on curiosity and there is no regular combat (take a seat back and snack on insects while learning about ancient history).
