What Remains of Edith Finch is a first-person adventure game with a dark and eerie narrative. Edith Finch is visiting her family house to see what happened to her family there. Most of the interaction is just there to increase your sense of identification with the story. The level of detail in the house’s design helps it feel simultaneously like a strange dreamscape and a real, lived-in house.What Remains of Edith Finch is indebted to many narrative exploration games such as Gone Home. This means that it doesn’t feature much in the way of challenging or exciting conventional gameplay.

What Remains of Edith Finch NSP Key Features:

• Playable Anthology: Rather than playing traditionally, you go through the last day of each deceased family member in self-contained, dreamlike sequences, through their personality, hobbies or the particular circumstances of their demise.
• Frequent Changing Mechanics: The story of each character changes the game. You could be a hawk, then a fatally hungry cat, a falling swing or even a fish eating with one hand and a king in a fantasy land with the other.
• The Labyrinthine Finch House: Go on a journey through a gigantic, dream-like and ever-expanding family home. Pockets of space have been squeezed in over the years and then permanently closed after a death, creating a huge monument and time capsule of the mansion.
• Poetic Narration: You use a mysterious key that your mother has left behind to open up secret passages and journals, to piece together your family’s history as Edith. Edith’s written notes show you the way around the house and as you explore the house the text will appear on the screen.
• Magical Realism: Deaths and last moments are visualized creatively and surrealistically, and at times even in a dreamlike manner.
