The title arrives on modern platforms with new features, although many of them are not evident during the short campaign of just 5 hours. The developers claim the new version has remastered graphics, but that is only really noticeable when it’s in action – in CGI scenes, for instance, there is a strong impression of emulation, not quality optimisation. The irreverent wit, clever banter, and ludicrous scenarios are intact.

Significantly upgraded the lighting, which makes it more immersive and emphasizes the special effects. The school now has dark passages and hallways, but it’s also filled with color and activity outside. I was unable to imagine how anyone could give less than an 8/10 to Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP. It’s an absolute hoot, with too much violence and a little too much profanity, and it’s not afraid to say it’s a hoot. It’s the only way to experience it if you’re playing Original Mode, where everything is intact: the gore, the cursing, the wild themes.
