Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories and the Envisioned Land. As they get to know more about their continent of ruins, which was once ruled by the highly advanced Aladiss Empire, they become allies. In particular, Yumia is driven more than most, as she has lost her mother and has been discredited as an alchemist, a now-forbidden practice. As with other games from Atelier, the fun comes from the characters.

Yumia is a fascinating character and has to do what she can with the people around her to learn alchemy, as it is an art forbidden to her. She is totally different than Ryz, which I think is deliberate so as not to be compared to him, but she’s a cute character to follow. I really enjoy the interactions with Yumia, the research team, and her gang of characters.

• Non-linear Progression: There are no linear paths to traverse as the game’s open world map is vast and can be explored. Players can jump, climb, swim, and set up ziplines to discover hidden landmarks and materials.
• Real-Time Combat: Battles are not the usual turn-based type, but rather have dynamic real-time combat. Players take turns between close and long-range combo attacks and use crafted items to buff, debuff,f and make use of elemental weaknesses.
• Alchemy & Simple Synthesis: The main crafting cycle enables players to collect and create materials as needed. These creations play a vital role in advancing the story, in battle, and in exploration.
• Settlement Building: Players can add a cozy, sim-like touch to the adventure by building and customizing bases of their own, a new feature.
• Pioneering Efforts: The game also introduces features that track your progress through exploration and offer region-based checklists with useful abilities and items that unlock other areas that were previously unavailable.
