DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined: The end of the usual visual style. Unlike the recent remakes of the Erdrick Trilogy in an “HD-2D” style, the development team created a unique “handcrafted mode” based on a detailed aesthetic of physical puppets, which were scanned into the game.

Adding a realistic quality to Prince Kiefer’s wide chin and the hero’s iconic costume. The restrained colour palette is surprising at first, with the green hat worn by the hero in a colour that would more naturally seem to be a woodland cloak. This approach will create an atmosphere different from that of the previous games while keeping Akira Toriyama’s signature art style intact.
