Bravely Default II Switch is a free download of the third installment of the series, Bravely Default, which is a sequel to the second game, Bravely Second: End Layer. While Second was a direct story continuation from the original, Default II features a new story and cast of characters. The game is a role-playing video game, like previous entries, but features turn-based combat.The game also features a variation on the earlier game’s “Brave Point” system, and having to collect various “asterisks” to switch a character’s job class.

The Bravely Default II demo was mostly met with praise, though some publications remarked that the difficulty level of the demo exceeded what was anticipated, and wished that the previous games within the series would be made easier or harder such as the option of varying difficulty levels. USGamer thought that while the game was enjoyable, there was too much grinding necessary to catch up with enemies, particularly in a game that was still in the demo. The grinding was more enjoyable than a lot of other games in the genre, however, Kotaku pointed out.

Bravely Default II NSP Key Features:

• The Brave & Default System: The heart of combat. You can “guard and store turns” (Brave Points) or “spend turns” (Brave) with up to four actions per turn. It is important to take risks and gain rewards at a proper ratio to penetrate the enemy defense.
• Four Primary and Secondary Careers: Each of the four main characters has a career to choose from – a primary and a secondary. More than 20 different classes (including Black Mages, Gamblers,
• Random encounters: replaced by enemies roaming map – Overworld Enemies. They can be ambushed for an early advantage in a battle or avoided using consumables.
• B&D Mini-Game: The game features an addictive, in-world card strategy game called “Bind and Divide” (B&D), where you can challenge NPCs and collect more cards.
• Quality of Life Features: Grinding is sped up by enabling the ability to fast-forward battles up to 4 times the normal speed, redo actions on the same turn and even replay turn actions for multiple monsters to gain more experience points.
