Description:

Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light. The western players first had a whiff of the Fire Embellishments with the ‘Fire Embellishments’ boxed edition of ‘Fire Embellishments’ that was launched on the Game Boy Advance in 2003. At first, the title might suggest that it is the first game in the franchise, but it is actually the seventh game, with the previous six games being niche games only available in Japan.

It uses a turn-based movement system on a grid-based battlefield, much like Final Fantasy Tactics, where each unit may only move a certain number of spaces at a time. When these encounters occur, the unit will expire HP and will be removed from the game, even key characters, such as Princess Caeda, can be killed and removed from the rest of the story.

• Tactical Turn-Based Combat: Control your units while they are on different maps (plains, mountains, castles) to kill enemies, capture castles, and slay bosses.
• Permanent Death: When a unit is defeated in battle, they are out for the duration of the campaign – careful positioning of units and tactical decisions are vital. When Prince Marth falls, it’s Game Over.
• Marth’s Utility: Marth is the most important Lord class unit, and is needed to conquer thrones and travel to villages to recruit allies and get legendary weapons.
• Class System & Promotions: Units are very specialised. Rare items such as the Hero Crest or Orion’s Bolt can be used to promote specific classes like Cavaliers, Mercenarie,s and Archers, allowing them to get a huge stat boost when they reach level 10.
• Rewind & Save States: A safeguard against bad decisio.s: Players can save the game and go back a maximum of 20 turns when they make a poor decision.
