Description:

Attempting to bring back that moment of magic, Nintendo Switch Sports aims to bring a slightly more refined version of the same idea to games, while sticking to the premise of motion based gameplay, but adding both new and old sports to the mix. Like Wii Sports, Nintendo Switch Sports is a party game, designed as a fun but shallow activity you can turn to in the midst of a jam-packed night with friends and family—only this is not quite the novelty Wii Sports had been at the beginning of the 2006-era.

We’re a week into playing online on Nintendo Switch Sports and I’m still soaking up the fun and excitement, but also craving more. Of course, online is a big portion of the game, as you will recall during our review in progress before the online servers started running, but other than for its far greater selection of opponents and extra mode, it is, for me, not as rewarding as I’d have hoped. Nintendo Switch Sports has the fundamentals down pat, but this set of six sports might not be perennial All-Stars.

Nintendo Switch Sports NSP Key Features:

  • Golf: Play 21 holes from all of the Wii Sports games, factoring in terrain effects and the wind.
  • Soccer: Kick the Giant Ball in Soccer games or use the Soccer Leg Strap to shoot out in a 1-on-1 mode.
  • Volleyball: Use timed, real-world volleyball movements to bump, set and spike the ball.
  • Basketball: Dribble, pass and shoot to score hoops or take part in a frenzied 3-point Challenge.
  • Bowling: Frame-by-Frame bowling, with an obstacle-laden Special Mode and gigantic 16-player online survival tournaments.
  • Tennis & Badminton: Make lobs, smashes and drop shots with a controlled curve of the ball, using wrist twists to control the ball’s curve.

Installation Instructions

There is no difference between NSP and XCI formats — both run exactly the same on any Nintendo Switch emulator. Your downloaded Nintendo Switch Sports file is in NSP format.
To play on an emulator, open your emulator, go to File → Load File (or drag and drop), and select the downloaded NSP file.
Ensure your emulator has at least Firmware 13.1.0 installed before launching Nintendo Switch Sports.
On a hacked Nintendo Switch, install the file using Tinfoil (highly recommended) or DBI Installer.
The direct download link may occasionally be slow or unavailable due to high traffic. If it fails, please wait a moment and try again.
