Description:

Mission in Snowdriftland is a 2D platform game originally released as an online Adobe Flash game in 2006 and sponsored by Nintendo of Europe before being remastered and re-released on Steam, created by German studio tons of bits. The game was used as an advent calendar advertising various Nintendo products from December 1 to December 24, 2006, with an additional level added each day. It was supposed to be taken offline on 14th January 2007, but was postponed to 16th January 2007. It was reintroduced on 1st December 2010, now to advertise upcoming WiiWare games for the Wii, but again pulled in 2011.

The dreadful snow level. The worst of all gamers’ nightmares. With the slippery ground made up of solid ice, this classic video game cliché was a much-maligned mainstay of the 8- and 16-bit era. • 4 Unique Worlds: Travel through 24 standard levels, each with characteristic winter settings: Lake, Forest, Mountain, and Cave.
• Play against unique enemies in each world and face El Pix in a final boss battle as you test your platforming skills against different minibosses and bosses.
• The Massive Collectible System is made up of 24 hidden snowflakes in each stage. If you get all 576 snowflakes, you will unlock a very difficult Bonus Level.
• Modern Upgrades: Visual enhancements, full controller support, achievements, and speedrun timers.
