His debut game, titled just Shantae, was released in 2002 for Game Boy Color and although it had some success, it took that company eight years to come up with a sequel. In 2010 Shantae: Risky’s Revenge was released for Nintendo DSi and in 2014 Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse was released for Nintendo 3DS. Both Risky’s Revenge and Pirate’s Curse were later released for other platforms such as Wii U and PS4.

• Pirate Hat: Acts as a glider to help ride gusts of wind.
