Description:

John Constantine is the real name of the comic book character known as Hellblazer, in Vertigo DC comics. The Constance ROM game which starred Keanu Reeves, inspired this video game. The player assumes the role of Constantine, a wizard, exorcist and demon slayer in this world. A man who fights evil, but remains cynical and skeptical towards good. Also, he smokes a lot.

The game is third-person, and may switch to first person should the player be in a small area and the protagonist. Constantine’s objective is to unravel the mystery of how and why demons have been able to make their way onto Earth even though old rules prevent such activity.

He wields several holy weaponry and relics including the Cross Shotgun, Holy Water Bombs, twin revolvers that fire stones from the Holy Lands (also known as the Witch’s Curse) and others. Moreover, Constantine has access to a plethora of offensive magic spells, most of which are by the souls of demons that Constantine has conquered.

Constance ROM Key Features:

• Paintbrush Based Action: The paintbrush can be used for fighting, as well as movement; the player can utilize various techniques and abilities such as dashing, explosive clones and paint attacks.
• Paint Transformation Mechanic: Constance can be temporarily transformed into paint to go through obstacles or avoid enemies.
• Corruption System: Overexertion of special techniques corrupts the paint, and it becomes a danger/reward scenario, in which doing too much might result in taking damage.
• Precision Combat: Combat is about timing, precision and seeing the enemy pattern; not button-mashing.
• Unique Death Mechanics: Death allows players to go back to a checkpoint or respawn at the point of death, but enemies become more powerful until the next checkpoint.
