Jumper Jon follows the typical adventure format. You will be able to experience a massive and interwoven world, where you will slowly gain new skills and abilities and will be able to reach new areas. You’ll battle different bosses, uncover secrets, and traverse through different biomes along the way. The big difference with this game when compared to others in the adventure genre, though, is that the pace is constantly on the rise. Most adventures, exploring is systematic

Each time you travel to a new biome, there is a brief cut scene that lets you know that you are moving on. It is a nice feature that provides a sense of progression but doesn’t intrude on the gameplay. The biggest advantage and challenge of the game is that there is a time limit of 30 seconds per row. On the other hand, it can cause an interesting cycle where you are continually balancing the dangers of travelling and exploring, gathering items and fighting, with the ever-elapsing seconds. You can never slow down to appreciate the beauty, as you always have to move towards the next safe zone, towards the next feather.

• 30-Second Life Cycle: Dive into Hell in quick blasts of 30 seconds. Unless you collect magical feathers, which reset the clock every 30 seconds, you will perish.
• Persistent Progression: If you kill yourself or if you run out of time, you’ll come back, but you keep all of your unlocked abilities and items.
• Metroidvania Structure: Unlock new powers, weapons (like bombs), and navigation abilities to access previously blocked-off areas.
