If you’re not familiar with any of the Shovel Knight series, let us briefly explain what to expect. After a tremendous Kickstarter effort, Shovel Knight was released on a wide variety of systems in 2014. It is a tribute to the action platformers of the 8-bit era and beautifully designed graphics in pixels that would be very much at home on an NES.

Shovel of Hope: The archetypal adventure game in which you are Shovel Knight, wielding your very own Shovel Blade to fight the Order of No Quarter and save your lost friend. This campaign is a completely co-op, and you can play with a pal.

Plague of Shadows: Play as the maniacal alchemist Plague Knight! Combine and assemble bomb components in various combinations to explore new areas and indulge in a frothy romance.

Specter of Torment: A speedy prequel in which you’re the Specter Knight, who wields a scythe. Recruit the Order of No Quarter and learn the ropes of wall climbing, dash slashes, and a shiny new arsenal of Curios.

King of Cards: A royal prequel with King Knight. Collect new subjects and play a strategy card game included.

Shovel Knight Showdown: A local, 4-player fighting game where you can battle as your favorite heroes and villains from the franchise. It includes various competitive modes and single-player stories.
