Description:

What if Animal Crossing just took a break from time to time and took a stroll down the Garden Patch? Using shades of Nintendo’s life sim and the feel of the Moomin comics, The Garden Path feels like a quirky British children’s book from the ’80s with beautiful watercolour visuals, amusing residents and travellers with vegetables for heads, and a love of tea. The game appropriately starts in spring; each day in the garden follows your Switch’s internal clock.

A season lasts for a week, and a year is 28 days. On day one, your character enters a large garden that is filled with overgrown plants, but is more like a small woodland with rivers running through the trees and the foliage covering the entire landscape. All you have on you is a hatchet, a thermos full of tea, and a torn page, which is what led you to the garden. We collected one half of a pair of secateurs, talked to a statue, and started walking through the grass, leaving the leaves crunching under our feet.

The Garden Patch NSP Key Features:

• Self-Watering Reservoir: A water well at the base fills up roots with water when they need it, avoiding under- or over-watering.
• Nutrient Patch™ System: A strip of fertilizer is prepared and placed directly on the soil surface. Roots grow directly towards this stripe and continuously feed at a proper rate.
• Weather Cover: The plastic cover helps to maintain soil moisture and warmth and prevents soil wash-off from the fertilizer strip in heavy rain.
