Description:

Still, Hakuoro must battle against the nations that are against his benevolent rule and unravel the truth about his own history. Utawarerumono is a turn-based tactical game with some visual novel elements. Much of the story is told through text and still images; the player can select from time to time.

Key features:

• Visual Novel + Tactical RPG Hybrid: The bulk of the game is spent enjoying a captivating, fully voiced story that is then followed by tactical turn-based combat scenes.
• HD Remake Overhaul: New 2D places are now replaced with gorgeous 3D battle maps. All 2D backgrounds, event CGs, and bust shots are completely redrawn in high resolution.
• Special Extended Soundtrack: The original soundtrack is completely remixed, and a special mode is included so that the player can enjoy the background music of the best of the entire Utawarerumono series.
• Action Chains & Zeal System: The battle system focuses on the timing of actions and on chains of attacks (Action Chains) that produce distinct sub-effects (Zeal System). Players will attempt to fill the “Zeal” meter to use their special abilities.
• Team Attacks & Character Skills: Characters can learn special abilities and can carry out team-up attacks.
