Description:

Star Overdrive is an open-world, high-speed action-adventure. Race across an alien planet on your Hoverboard, mastering tricks, battling enemies, solving puzzles, and using your powers to overcome challenges and shape your destiny! There’s a good chunk of gameplay here as the team says players can access the first hour or so of content. This involves a preview of the plot, as well as a sample of the game’s puzzles, fighting, and the ability to “free ride” on their hoverboard in the introduction area to a huge alien landscape.

Follow Bios as he embarks on his journey to find his beloved, while getting his hoverboard fixed and navigating creative puzzles and monster challenges on a far-off alien planet. Use the power of his Keytar to fight, hop the hypersonic Hoverboard for some tricky traversal, discover secret levels, collect resources, and build parts to upgrade your Hoverboard and travel across alien biomes in a vast Open World.

Star Overdrive DEMO NSP Key Features:

• The hoverboard is the main mechanic of the game and is also known as high-speed hoverboard traversal. There are large dunes to zoom over, boost rings to ride, mid-air tricks to do, and combos to chain up to gain momentum for sustained speed.
• The primary weapon in combat is a “keytar” rather than a sword, as in the role-playing game, Keytar Combat. You go into simple combos, build up heavy punches, and take advantage of projectile attacks and bounce-pad skills to stagger and defeat local creatures.
• Physics-Based Puzzles: Solve Puzzles in mini-dungeons using your abilities, such as grappling and creating a jump pad, similar to how you would do in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
• Hoverboard Upgrades: You can collect the materials throughout the tutorial and initial areas to upgrade and tune your hoverboard’s stats at workstations, such as increasing your hoverboard’s speed, gravity, and control.
