Description:

Caligo is said to be a game of sight and sound. That is, it is a walking simulator. There are a few hidden drawings to collect, which do not add to the story, and two endings to select from; interactivity is found here. It looks nice enough, although not quite befitting for the PS5 and Xbox Series with minor pop-up and smudgy textures to blame.

One of the chapter select screens allows you to go back to the last area and select a different one to end the story, which is always welcome. Unfortunately, it lacks an item count of collectables which were discovered – if you’re targeting a 100% completion, you will need to go back and pick up the items you missed.

Caligo NSP Key Features:

•  contemplative: slow-paced “walking simulator” that focuses on visual design, filmic stories of the atmosphere and sound design, rather than on classic gameplay.
• Full Voiceovers: 100% voiced dialogue which tells the story to the reader and the chapters to the protagonist.
• Multiple chapters: with different, interesting graphic hand-drawn or natural looks (environments).
• Multiple Endings: Any interactions and choices at the end of the game that will ultimately affect the outcome (this could be multiple endings).
• Introspective Themes: An experiential short trek on themes of existence
