Description:

Overcooked! 2 is a collaborative action video game produced by Team17 in partnership with Ghost Town Games and published by Team17. It was released for the Linux, macOS, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One versions on August 7, 2018, following the release of Overcooked. There is downloadable content for the game that adds extra levels, chefs, and recipes, and the game was released for Amazon Luna on October 20, 2020. These include new environments and changes to the gameplay.[10]

Overcooked 2 was developed from a “laundry list” of concepts that were removed from the first game, for time and budget reasons. Ghost Town Games said they did “psychological experimentation” to observe the behavior of players and include certain features in the levels, such as “pinch points” or separating players. They added a throwing mechanic to help cooperative play go faster, as well as to correct a problem in which players were left idle during map changes.

Overcooked 2 NSP Key features:

• The Throw Mechanic: One of the most revolutionary features is the capacity to throw ingredients from one chef to another or straight into pots, pans, blenders and more, creating a whole new element of time-saving strategy.
• The game’s new online and Local Multiplayer is also a first in the series, as it offers full online co-op and competitive (versus) multiplayer with up to 4 players, in addition to classic couch co-op mode.
• Dynamic & Shifting Kitchens: Levels are dynamic and changing around you. You’ll be preparing meals in crazy situations such as in a hot-air balloon, on a whitewater raft, in a magic school, and on an alien planet.
• New Recipes & Mechanics: The players will have to keep new recipes in mind, such as sushi, pizza, and burgers, and have to deal with new obstacles like teleporters, moving walkways, ys, and impassable fire.
• Arcade & Versus Modes: There are also Arcade and Versus modes, which allow players to team up to claim high scores, pitting them against one another.
