Aubrey Drake Graham (born Oct. 24, 1986) is a Canadian rapper, singer and actor. He is noted for popularizing the R&B sensibilities in hip-hop, and has been called one of the greatest rappers of all time by journalists. Drake first rose to fame in the CTV teen drama series Degrassi: The Next Generation (2001–2008), and started his music career with self-released mixtapes Room for Improvement (2006), Comeback Season (2007) and So Far Gone (2009) through the label Young Money Entertainment.

His first album, Thank Me Later (2010), was a chart-topping success on the Billboard 200 and featured his breakout single “Best I Ever Had”. It was followed by Take Care (2011) and Nothing Was the Same (2013), which were both part of Rolling Stone’s list of the 100 best albums of 2011.
