The Hollow Lighthouse NSP main game play consists of exploration and solving puzzles. Your time will be spent prowling the lighthouse and all surrounding areas to find clues, keys, and journal entries that will lead you to the horrible truth! The puzzles tend to be logical and fitting in with the surroundings, and not just made up without any reason at all. They include handling unusual objects, solving codes in notes and, most importantly, noticing the changes and nuances in the environment.

The greatest strength of The Hollow Lighthouse is its atmosphere: masterful. The music is actually a character unto itself. The wind’s constant moaning, the creak of the lighthouse’s bell tower, the searching whispers as if from walls themselves – its sounds are a tapestry of unease. This is perfectly complemented with the visual design. The lighthouse is a maze of metal, with man-in-the-middle interior spaces,

• Light as Survival: The main gameplay is to keep the light running. As you investigate, it darkens and the monsters come closer and closer, so you need to deal with the lighthouse constantly.
• Explore the atmosphere: Breathe the air of dense pine forests, climb dark cliffs and explore abandoned buildings and caves that dot a secluded island.
• Psychological Tension: Play a survival horror game with a creepy old keeper, weird looking creatures and not entirely human characters hidden within.
• Accessibility Options: Designed to provide comfort to the player, there are custom volume controls, stereo settings, camera comfort settings and game saver options.
• Dynamic Playstyle: Designed to cater to different playstyles, the game has Quick Time Event (QTE) toggle options, and can be played entirely with the default settings for no timed actions.
