Description:

Stray certainly takes us to an interesting place with that idea. This cyberpunk world of neon-lit robots becomes a massive jungle gym from the players’ point of view, one foot off the ground. On the surface, the idea of placing you in the paws of an average cat is a tad silly, but Stray’s furry car tells a very interesting and entertaining story.

No people in sight, and everything made by people – pipes, electronics, structures –is rusted, not in use, and overgrown with lush vegetation. It’s a soft little cat playground, with the blue sky overhead and grass around the edges, looking down at it all but the gentle dripping of water or the soft thump of cat feet.

Stray NSP Key Features:

  • You play as a Cat: You see the world through a cat’s eyes. Because of this, the game capitalizes on that by utilizing you to journey through vertical, complex surroundings and tight spaces.
  • Meow button: The button can be pressed to let out a meow at any time. It’s not only for cuteness, but to be honest, it will also help you lure enemies for stealth or get some NPC robots’ attention.
  • Gameplay: The game redefines what it means to be a cat with its own dedicated mechanics that include scratching rugs/furniture, rubbing up against robotic legs, knocking heavy objects off ledges, and napping.
  • B-12 Drone Companion: A flying drone named B-12 will be with you. B-12 can communicate with technology, hack doors, and serve as your translator, flashlight, map, and inventory.
  • Accessible Platforming: Jumps are context-sensitive so that no jumps are missed, nor is one missed ledge dropped in by accident, and jumps can be chained together seamlessly.

Installation Instructions

There is no difference between NSP and XCI formats — both run exactly the same on any Nintendo Switch emulator. Your downloaded Stray file is in NSP format.
To play on an emulator, open your emulator, go to File → Load File (or drag and drop), and select the downloaded NSP file.
Ensure your emulator has at least Firmware 18.1.0 installed before launching Stray.
On a hacked Nintendo Switch, install the file using Tinfoil (highly recommended) or DBI Installer.
The direct download link may occasionally be slow or unavailable due to high traffic. If it fails, please wait a moment and try again.
