Breakout Beyond takes Atari’s seminal brick-breaker and gives it a fresh twist, courtesy of Choice Provisions – the studio behind the Bit.Trip series. Breakout Beyond takes a much bolder approach in modernizing the Breakout formula, adding new mechanics, a side-scrolling layout and a strategic focus that gives it one of the most interesting Breakout takes yet.

A lack of a paddle controller is one thing that is missing. Beyond has made some changes to the original – including the ability to adjust the paddle speed and add spin to the ball – but it never has the intuitive control of the original classic Breakout.

Breakout Beyond NSP Key Features:

• Controlling the ball’s direction with “English”: You have more control over the direction of the ball, and can add spin or change the direction of the ball with a paddle movement at the right time.
• Focus Mode: When action becomes too hectic, slow down time for more precise shots; however, use of this ability will also take a point off your score.
• Sprint Button: If you need to get to the ball quicker. There is a sprint trigger to temporarily increase your paddle’s speed.
• 72 Challenging Levels: Obstacle courses of bricks and challenges each with a unique puzzle-like arrangement.
• Local Co-Op: Play with a friend on shared screen, teamwork or friendly competition can be a breeze with Local Co-Op.
