Based on the popular franchise, Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions is an arcade football game that offers a fresh take on the genre with its over-the-top shooting and action, much like the original. Defy The Laws of Football Become Legend

There are two multiplayer modes: One, offline play; and Two, online play, as well as a story mode (offline): One, Episode Tsubasa, which lets players play the original story; and Two, Episode New Hero, which lets players create a character and progress through the story in a similar way as the FIFA series’ Player Career mode or Pro Evolution Soccer’s Become A Legend mode. Players select one of six schools (Nankatsu Middle School, Furano Middle School, Toho Academy, Musashi Middle School, Otomo Middle School, or Hanawa Middle School) to play in the Junior Youth World Challenge, an international U-16 competition, in New Hero.

• Over-the-Top Moves: unleash awesome signature moves, dribbles and tackles like those from anime and beyond!
• Every player uses a “Spirit Gauge” for Sprinting, tackling and for special abilities. It is essential to drain this meter in order to beat defenders and goalkeepers.
• Passes and tackles that are strung together to fill the V-Zone gauge of the V-Zone are rewarded by a temporary boost to stamina drain and the chances of scoring for the entire team.
• Episode Tsubasa: A cinematic single player campaign, retelling of iconic events of the original anime and manga, as Tsubasa Ozora strives for a third national championship in a row.
• Episode New Hero: a deep character career mode, where you make your own custom player, select the starting school, e.g. Nankatsu or Toho, and level them up to participate in the Junior Youth World Challenge.
