Description:

Endless Ocean Luminous[a] is an adventure simulation game for the Nintendo Switch developed by Arika and published by Nintendo in 2024. Luminous is the third entry in the Endless Ocean series, and the first since Endless Ocean 2: Adventures of the Deep for Wii in 2009. A scuba diver who is assigned to meet and report on the marine life as per the earlier entries.

Endless Ocean Luminous tasks the player with exploring the Veiled Sea, a fictional, unexplored region, to encounter and document marine life. The game itself has over 500 species to learn about, including creatures that are deemed mythical or extinct, such as the Mosasaurus.

Endless Ocean Luminous NSP Key features:

• Multiplayer Online Cooperative Dives: up to 30 people can use the same lobby, with each player entering by their own Dive-Site ID to explore the ocean together, tag rare creatures, and work together to chart the map.
• The undersea map changes each dive with different biomes, times of day, and distribution of marine life to make each dive new each time.
• Glow & Scan System: In the fictional “Veiled Sea”, a glowing light is emitted by creatures, which then adds their biological information to your database and raises your profile.
• Creature Log & Scanning: Using their scanner, the player records the marine life and creates a personal in-game encyclopedia of more than 500 creatures, including prehistoric and mythical.
• The Veiled Sea is littered with mysterious bioluminescent algae covering many of the creatures. If these algae can be cleaned, they will reveal themselves so that the overall story of the game of saving the dying World Coral will be uncovered.
